PHILOSOPHY

I have a passion for the position. To prepare properly and execute with determination. To create an environment where success is expected, prepared for and achieved and where the players take ownership of the actual results. To be available to the athletes, to help them where and when I can. I want to see all of my athletes succeed not only on the volleyball court but also in life.

EXPERIENCE
Volleyball player, Europe — 2001-2012

Attended all team training’s, competitions, and functions. Maintained a high level of physical fitness.

Volleyball Player, Great Britain National Team – 2008-2012

Have had 78 International matches over 4 summers. I have learned a lot from Coach Harry Brokking about high level training and the different phases that you need to go through in regards to training for optimum performance.

Executive Director, Impact Volleyball Camp, Grande Prairie Alberta — 2003-2011 (Summer)

Hired coaches, arranged gymnasiums, designed apparel, interacted with parents. I coached the athletes and ran the daily workouts.

Assistant Coach, Grant MacEwan Men’s Volleyball Team – 2007

Helped with practice plans, video breakdown, scouting, instruction, game plans and match coaching. Carried myself in a professional manner with players, spectators, coworkers and media.

Volleyball Clinician, Alberta Volleyball Association – 2007, 2009

Planned and ran developmental clinics at various schools in Alberta.

Player Coach, Aahrus, Denmark – 2002-2003

Planned and ran practices, scouted opposition, broke down video, provided game plans.

Summer Camp Coach, Canada – 1996-2009

Instructed at volleyball camps for The University of Alberta, Jasper Volleyball Camp, Grant MacEwen, and Impact Volleyball Camp. Planned and ran week-long camps for school-aged athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS

NCCP Level 2 Certified- I have taken the coaching courses through the Canadian Volleyball system. I am now on my way to Level 3.

Data Volley- I am proficient in the program Click and Scout from Data Project.

EDUCATION

University of Alberta – Bachelor of Education – Unfinished 1996-2001

SKILLS

Instruction – I’ve given instruction to various age categories of volleyball athletes. Assistant coached with the Grant MacEwan Griffins in the ACAC.

Administration and Planning – I am driven to succeed and work well with others. I work well within a team and have leadership abilities. I am proficient with various computer programs. I am good at meeting my goals.
